The 2027 BMW i3 is the electric sedan of BMW's Neue Klasse family, sharing its ground-up 800V architecture with the iX3. US reservations opened September 29, 2026 with a $1,000 deposit; BMW announced US pricing on September 30, 2026: $61,500 before destination ($62,850 with the $1,350 destination charge), matching the iX3 50 xDrive, with first US deliveries in Q1 2027. The launch i3 50 xDrive pairs a 108.7 kWh battery with dual-motor all-wheel drive making 463 hp for up to an EPA-estimated 468 miles of range, the most of any BMW EV. A native NACS port allows Tesla Supercharger access, and up to 400 kW DC fast charging delivers 10-80% in about 21 minutes. Bidirectional charging supports vehicle-to-load, vehicle-to-home, and vehicle-to-grid. An M60 xDrive performance variant follows later in 2027. Competes with the Tesla Model 3, Lucid Air, and Mercedes-Benz CLA.
