The electric GLC (badged GLC 400 4MATIC Electric, or GLC with EQ Technology) is Mercedes' most important EV yet, an electric version of its best-selling SUV on the new 800-volt MB.EA platform. The launch GLC 400 4MATIC makes 483 hp and 590 lb-ft from dual motors, hits 60 mph in about 4.2 seconds, and carries a 94-kWh usable battery good for an EPA-estimated 350 miles (up to 380 with the smaller wheels). Its 800-volt architecture peaks at 330 kW on DC fast charging (10-80% in about 22 minutes), and it ships with a native NACS port for Tesla Supercharger access plus a separate J1772 AC inlet. It arrives at US dealers in Q3 2026 starting at $63,500 (excluding the $1,450 destination charge; $64,950 including it), indirectly succeeding the EQE SUV and competing with the BMW iX3, Audi Q6 e-tron, and Cadillac Lyriq.
