The 2027 Mitsubishi Eclipse Sportback is Mitsubishi's return to the US EV market, announced June 10, 2026 with sales beginning in the second half of 2026. Built on the all-new Nissan LEAF platform and OEM-supplied by Nissan, it carries the same 75 kWh battery, ~303 miles of range, and 214 hp front-wheel-drive powertrain, but adds Mitsubishi-specific front and rear fascias, lighting signatures, alloy wheels, and Triple Diamond branding. Pricing has not been announced but is expected to land near the LEAF's ~$30,000 starting price, positioning it against the Chevy Equinox EV and Hyundai Kona Electric.
