The 2027 Mitsubishi Eclipse Sportback is Mitsubishi's return to the US EV market, announced June 10, 2026, with US sales beginning in October 2026. Built on the all-new Nissan LEAF platform and OEM-supplied by Nissan, it carries the same 75 kWh battery and 214 hp front-wheel-drive powertrain, but adds Mitsubishi-specific front and rear fascias, lighting signatures, alloy wheels, and Triple Diamond branding. Mitsubishi announced pricing October 6, 2026: it starts at $37,745 MSRP with up to 282 miles of range, a single $2,600 Technology Package as the only option, and NACS DC fast charging. It competes with the Chevy Equinox EV and Hyundai Kona Electric.
