The 2027 Toyota Highlander BEV is Toyota's first three-row electric SUV, unveiled February 11, 2026. On July 9, 2026 Toyota confirmed the launch is delayed: production start is pushed back at least eight weeks with no revised on-sale date, citing "additional adjustments" before launch. XLE FWD is planned to cover 287 miles from a 77 kWh battery (221 hp), while the 95.8 kWh AWD pack delivers up to 320 miles and 338 hp (expected ~$50,000 base). Built alongside the Lexus TZ at Toyota's Georgetown, Kentucky plant with US-assembled batteries from the new Liberty, NC facility. Native NACS port for Tesla Supercharger access. Competes with the Kia EV9, Hyundai IONIQ 9, and Volvo EX90 in the mainstream three-row segment.
